Photography, Travel & Gear Obsession

Spring is finally here, and that means more walks with Pixel and my camera in hand. 🌿 Today, I took my Sony A6700 with the 18-105mm, though I quickly realized I should’ve brought my 70-350mm with all the birds around!

As I reflect on my recent trip to South Africa—where I had the incredible opportunity to capture lion cubs and elephants—I’m reminded that photography is about being present and making the most of every moment. Whether I’m shooting in a game reserve or just out for a local walk, every experience helps me grow as a photographer.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about my relationship with photography gear. I love finding the perfect setup, and the A6700 fits so well into my kit, especially alongside my A7CR. While I once tried to be a minimalist with my gear, I’ve realized that variety fuels my creativity.

Next stop: the Dominican Republic! I'm excited to capture new sights and share more along the way. Until then, I’ll keep enjoying the little moments—like today’s peaceful walk with Pixel.
