Welcome to my resource page, a curated list of crucial tools, services and companies that I use on a daily basis. This list reveals my go-to resources that help me stay on top of everything from photo editing to learning. Before we get started, an important disclosure.

GEAR

I almost always shop with Amazon for my camera gear. They have excellent service and return policies and offer international shipping. Free shipping with an Amazon Prime account is a great way to do it and their deals are frequent and cheap.

Quick release camera straps and bags. I use their straps on every camera I own, and many other items as well such as binoculars and accessory bags.

Software

I use Setapp all the time. I love discovering new apps for specific needs. Setapp membership gives you an all-access pass to curated Mac and iOS apps. All yours for 7 days free, with no ads and complications.

Every computer I use the first thing I install is Backblaze. It’s the easiest way to Never Lose a File Again with the World's Easiest Cloud Backup.

Learning

I’ve been a Creative Live member since they first launched. It is my favorite place to learn. They have so many different subjects to choose from. I’ve watched several photography classes just to sharpen my skills and learn something new.

Here are a few I’m taking:

Beyond Photography with Doug Landreth learning how to do artistic post-production.

Shooting Documentary Short Films, Griffin Hammond shares tips on lighting, framing, and interviewing subjects so you walk away with lots of usable footage.

This book really made me look at photography differently. After reading Within the Frame I made the shift in my mind from taking snapshots to creating pictures that tell a story. It changed the way I view the world.

This is another book that really helped me make a connection to the people that I take pictures of. Whether you are a student, busy parent, or seasoned pro photographer, these exercises provide an accessible framework for exploration and growth.
