Hi, I’m Kwame — and I’m glad you’re here.
I’m an amateur photographer, writer, and storyteller who fell in love with photography because it helped me pay attention.
Most days, you’ll find me out walking with my dog, Pixel, camera in hand, capturing whatever the day offers — a shadow, a glance, a simple moment that would’ve gone unnoticed.
Photography became my way to see the world more clearly — and Life in Focus became my way to invite others to do the same.
What This Space Is About
Life in Focus is for hobbyist photographers — people who love the craft, the quiet moments, and the act of seeing.
Here, we don’t care what camera you use. We care about why you pick it up.
It’s a space to slow down, notice your everyday life, and rediscover the joy of photographing the world as it is — messy, beautiful, and real.
I share weekly writings, and videos that help you reconnect with photography as a mindful, meaningful practice.
Together, we’re building a place where creativity doesn’t have to perform — it just has to be shared.
What You’ll Get as Part of the Life in Focus Community
This isn’t a forum or a class — it’s a creative home base where you can:
📷 A community that gets it
→ A growing group of hobbyists who care less about megapixels and more about meaning.
🪞 Fresh ways to think about photography
→ Weekly essays and reflections on the why behind taking pictures — how photography can ground you, connect you, and help you see your world differently.
🎬 Stories, books, and ideas worth exploring
→ Occasionally, I share films, books, or creative projects that have inspired me — all through the lens of living a more intentional, visually aware life.
🌍 An ongoing invitation to slow down
→ You don’t need the latest camera or the perfect shot. You just need to be here — curious, open, and ready to rediscover the joy in what’s right in front of you.
Join the Life in Focus Newsletter
Every week, I write about the why of photography — not tips or tutorials, but reflections on creativity, mindfulness, and what it means to live a visually aware life.
Sometimes I share films, books, or small discoveries that connect back to seeing the world with more curiosity.
If that sounds like your kind of conversation, I’d love for you to join.
